Re-entry permit (single, multiple)

    • This application is for registered foreigners seeking to depart Korea for travel or visit and re-enter within their original term of stay. An appointment can be reserved through e-application (not applicable to those with Refugee(F-2-2) status) or a visit to the local immigration office or branch office.
        ※ Multiple re-entry is restricted for nationals of China, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Libya, due to reciprocity. However, exception is made for the following cases:
      • Those with Residency(F-2), Spouse of Korean National(F-2-1), or Spouse of Permanent Residency Status Holder(F-2-3) status
      • Chinese Overseas students(D-2), employees of domestic branch of Chinese airline with Supervisory Intra-company Transfer (D-7) status, and Corporate Investment(D-8) status holders
        ※ Unregistered foreigners are not eligible for re-entry (except for Diplomacy(A-1), Official Business(A-2), Convention/Agreements(A-3) status holders)
        ※ Registered foreigners that entered with multiple-entry visa do not need to apply for re-entry as long as the visa remains valid.
        ※ Registered foreigners that are nationals of the following countries are exempt from re-entry permit, and thusly cannot apply for one.
      • Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Belgium, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, France, Chile(C-2, D-7, D-8, D-9)
Required documents
  • Those with Industrial Training(D-3), Employed Trainee(E-8), Non-professional Employment(E-9), Vessel Crew(E-10) status need written consent of their re-entry permit from their employer(s).
  • Diplomacy(A-1) and Official Business(A-2) status holders must provide documents proving their employment. Convention / Agreement(A-3) status holders must provide their ID card and employment certificate / service confirmation.
Service charge
  • Single: 30,000 KRW Multiple: 50,000 KRW
  • Non-refundable if application was normally processed
  • Exemption by nationality: English, Taiwanese and Argentinian minors (those under 14)
  • Exemption by status: Corporate Investment (D-8)

Miscellaneous e-Applications can be applied until three business days before the expiration of the applicant’s status. An appointment for visitation can be reserved until a day before the desired date of appointment as long as it's within their permitted term of stay.
